My DOMs has set in and I can tell this is going to be one hell of a set of DOMs. I worked so hard in my workout yesterday that I am feeling it in every inch of my body. It is times like this that I think about the effort I am putting in. This is the reason I work hard. I am preparing for a competition that will take place in almost a year. I have plenty of time to be a winner in that competition. It is the intensity with which I do my workouts that is going to make me a winner. Each time I enter the gym these days I am ready to attack the weights. I know now that my body is full recovered when I hit the gym. I never believed that two days a week working out would be sufficient, but it is. Recovery is the key and that's what is working the best right now. The rest I am getting is causing me to grow and that's what I want. My son has also been doing H.I.T. and he is turning into a real winner as well. Prior to starting H.I.T. he had a difficult time doing deadlifts at 135 lbs. for 5 repetitions. Yesterday he managed to do 150 lbs. x 15 repetitions. He is starting to understand the importance of giving it everything. We had a big talk about why you would bother going to the gym early in the morning if you aren't going to work hard. He is using alot of effort now. I am extremely proud of his efforts. |

Today I did my interval cardio session. The typical setup again–heart rate up to 145 BPM for 2 minutes and then recover back to 105 BPM. Do this as many times as I can in 30 minutes. I think it is starting to change my body. |
