M3:D70 It works

What's on my mind today?

Lately I've had to answer a common question–why do you do everything you do for weight loss/
bodybuilding?  People wonder why I work so hard at it.  It is an interesting question when you look at all the angles.  However, after looking at all the angles the answer is pretty straightforward–I do it because it works.

The Shredder lifestyle–eating right, working hard in the gym, doing alot of cardio, building muscle and burning fat–it works.  If it didn't work none of us would be doing it.

I've read a few of the newer blogs lately and the authors get so frustrated that they are not seeing instant results.  I think they need to go back and read up on patience.  Patience is the answer.  Consistency is the key.  If these people have patience and are consistent with their programs they will see the results they desire.  Results come from hard work and it wouldn't be hard work if it happened overnight.  This is important to remember.

As much as we want to see a change immediately, it just isn't going to happen that way.  Alot of sweat and hard work goes into a physique transformation.  I've said it before and I will say it again, I don't believe that most of the 12 week transformations came from people who had just started out.  I believe most of them are like Adam: RTP Blog 2–they've had periods where they've tried and failed.  At some point, something clicks and they succeed at what they are doing.  This point is lost on most people.

All I can say is do it the right way.  Take your time and enjoy the process.  Eat your 5 meals a day.  Workout hard with weights.  Do your cardio.  Why do all this?  Because it works.

Find out what I'm doing to my body!

Today's workout began at 4 a.m.  I got in the gym and walked up to the power rack for some warm up squat sets.  After my ART sessions I feel alot more loose in my hips so the squats felt extra good today.  I warmed up with sets of 135 lbs., 155 lbs., 185 lbs, 225 lbs., 260 lbs. and then 285 lbs.  I then loaded up the bar with 335 lbs.  It has been a while since I've lifted this heavy.  I managed to get 10 reps out on the first set.  It was tough, but it felt awesome.  I managed to finish off with another 3 sets at 10 reps.  I was pumped after these squats.  The rest of the workout was equally incredible.  I'm up to a 35 lb. dumbbell during my Quad Blaster session.  It really makes it feel like a much heavier set of squats, that much I can tell you.

Overall the workout was great.  I left the gym around 5 a.m. and I was pumped.

I saw the doctor today for more ART.  She taped my leg (see pics) and says I should try a light jog tomorrow to see how things feel.  If it goes well I can get back to jogging already.  I'm excited.
