What's on my mind today?

One of the key components to any workout program is the intensity of that program.  You can achieve a multitude of things just by adjusting the intensity.  It is extremely possible to completely waste your time by not having enough intensity.  You can also boost your results by upping the intensity of your lifting.

Intensity is just one of the many variables involved in a lifting routine.  You would benefit from tracking all of these variables and what effect a tweak here or there has on your results.  By recording this information you can be assured of great results.

To me, working at the highest intensity is essential to fantastic growth.  You can always push yourself harder and harder.  That’s one way to increase intensity.  You can shorten your rest periods and intensity will rise.  You can increase the weight and intensity will increase.

Regardless of the method chosen, increased intensity is the variable I enjoy tweaking the most. I’ve noticed that I get the best from extremely high intensity programs.  There is just something about the increased intensity that hits my muscles hard.
